Hornby R1122 Eastern Valleys Express Train Set
Livery: LNER, Class: B12, Finish: Pristine
The rural areas in the East of England benefited in the halcyon days of rail travel of being connected to the big cities by a network of small railways. The LNER could not use its heavy ‘crack’ Express trains on the’rural lines, opting instead for the more lightweight engines and coaches designed for such railways. These smaller trains which used the older rolling stock would offer a frequent stopping service as they travelled from village to village and town to town!
